JASWDC is proud to support TABLE FOR TWO’s World Food Day 2017 “Change the World with Onigiri – #OnigiriAction –”. During the class, you will learn how to make onigiri (rice balls) and onigirazu (onigiri sandwich) with delicious fillings and support TABLE FOR TWO’s Onigiri Action. Participants will be able to help donate school meals to children in need in DC and around the world by just taking a photo with their onigiri (rice balls) and post on the campaign website or your own social media with #OnigiriAction. For each onigiri photo post, TFT’s partner organizations will donate 5 school meals to children in need. Also a portion of the fee for this class will be donated to provide 10 school meals!

All registered attendees will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of Sake Confidential: A Beyond-the-Basics Guide to Understanding, Tasting, Selection, and Enjoyment by John Gaunter. There will be two winners. This drawing is sponsored Stone Bridge Press. Stone Bridge Press was established in Berkeley, California, in 1989. We now have some 150 titles in print, covering such Japan-related areas as language, business, literature, manga, design, and culture.

This class is generously sponsored by San-J. San-J is renowned for its premium tamari and shoyu soy sauce and Japanese salad dressings, rice crackers, and Asian cooking sauces.
